One of the significant ingredients of our collection is our handwoven textiles. Our philosophy is to design contemporary textiles by keeping the essence of traditional craft intact. Our textiles are handwoven in different parts of India. Our weavers, even today use the most sustainable, non-power based traditional processes and tools similar to those seen in the 19th century, which makes our textiles timeless and Eco-friendly.
Here is an overview of the enchanting journey that transforms fibre into fabric:
Handloom weaving is a tedious and labor intensive process. The process begins with the conversion of cotton fiber into yarn of various counts and thicknesses to suit the garment requirements. The yarn is then looped or coiled into hanks which are dyed to the required shade.
We carefully select the colours of our pieces so that you feel calm, relaxed and collected all day.
We use plant based organic dyes, as far as possible. Once the hanks are washed off of excess dye, the yarn is processed into cones or bobbins for the shuttle which carries the weft of the fabric.
These comprise the pre-loom processes and are traditionally carried out by women. Fabric is essentially a network of yarns running adjacent to and across each other. Weaving on the handloom includes a few steps. First, the bobbins (locally called, Nada, in Kutch) are prepared as per the number of yarns in the weft, in a process called Winding.
Lastly, loom is prepared with the warp yarn – in a process called warping, every yarn of the warp frame is counted manually, and then in a tiresome process called drafting, each of these yarns is drawn through the eyes at the head of the frame. Another process called denting involves inserting the warp yarn through the dents of a comb like structure called the reed.
Our textiles are woven in different parts of India in Kutch,Madhya Pradesh,west Bengal and Tamil Nadu.

We take utmost care to be mindful and empathetic towards Mother Earth.
